📜 History
The region is situated at an elevation ranging from 10 to 35 metres above sea level. Initially, Kodakara Block consisted of six Panchayats: Kodakara, Mattathur, Varandarappilly, Alagappanagar, Thrikkur and Pudukad. Later, in 1977, Thrikkur Panchayat was divided and Nenmanikkara Panchayat was formed, increasing the number of Panchayats in the Block to seven.
